Dimensions: 108 x 108 inches

Featured here is a razai and dohar. This size can be draped on either a queen or king size bed.

What is a Dohar?

The term dohar originates from the hindi word "Dohrana" which means layers. Dohars are thin, summer blankets made up of three layers of cotton muslin sewn together. These blankets were very popular by Indian royalty during the monsoon months making it an ideal cover for those warm summer nights. Dohars are naturally temperature regulating and hypoallergenic. These can be machine washed and tend to get softer and softer with each wash.

What is a Razai?

Razais are hand-crafted, lightweight cotton quilts. These quilts can be used all year around, and are made to be soft and fluffy. These quilts date back to the 16th century when the Hindu sector of Rajasthan banned wool and leather goods, forcing the nomadic people to create razais which would be easy to roll and carry, as well as keep them warm during the cold winters. Razais are machine washable on the gentle cycle. However, for best results we recommend dry-cleaning these type of quilts due to their delicate, handmade nature.
